Francis Kenneth Leach, Jr., 83, of Gainesville, TX, passed away November 14, 2023 in Gainesville.
Ken was born February 26, 1940 in Minden, LA. He graduated from Gainesville High School and North Texas State University. Mr. Leach served in the U.S. Navy, member of the DeMolay Society, Master Mason, a past president of the Botanical Garden Rose Society, and member of the Sons of the American Revolution. He also attended many Democratic National Conventions and ran for Congress.
Mr. Leach was predeceased by: parents Francis K. Leach, Sr. and Juanita “Ida” (Norman) Leach; sister Dieliew E. “Betty” Nava; uncle C.M. Leach; aunt Catherine Gann (Leach); and uncle Felix Leach Jr.
Mr. Leach is survived by: nephews and nieces, Jeffrey and Phyllis McDonald, William and Nickie Guyer, Michael and Karen McCorkle, Robert and Jackie Thompson, and Delores Overstreet; great-nephews and -nieces, Russell Ryan Rutland, Sabrina and Bryce McCorkle, David New Jr., and Brandon, Christine, Brady, and Robert Overstreet; cousins Sam and Karen Leach, Doug Leach, Carlos Leach, and Tim Leach; and aunt Wilma Leach.
A graveside service is scheduled for 3:00 p.m. on Monday, November 20, 2023, at the pavilion of Fairview Cemetery, Gainesville.
